Mindfulness is a science of human understanding, revealing how we work. It is a science because it involves investigation and testing.  We are able to notice what is happening?

The pillar and facets of mindfulness include:  paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally. Our internal attitude when practicing mindfulness is:  non-judging, patience, beginner’s mind, trust, non-striving, acceptance and letting go.

These will all guide our sessions and we will also understand how to cope with stress responding vs reacting and consider the impact on the body. As stress is toxic to our body.

Mindfulness is something that I incorporate within my sessions but it can be provided as standalone sessions learning:

  • Breathing
  • Meditation
  • Body Scan

I offer various mindfulness options including an Introduction to Mindfulness session.

Since doing a Mindfulness Stress Based Reduction Programme (MBSR) some years ago and having a mindfulness practice for many years, I know first hand the benefits of a daily practice for both mind and body.  It can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve overall helath and wellbeing and with a variety of other areas including relaxation and feeling overwhelmed.
