Improve your Confidence and Self Esteem

Confidence is essential for our ability to engage with our world. Often confidence is stopping us achieving our goals but can also stop people functioning and engaging with life, a lack of confidence can sometimes mean not living the life you want.  I have found that clients coming to see me for a lack of confidence might have once been confident but have found that through certain situations and circumstances this changes. They might suddenly start to lack confidence and feel unable to perhaps enjoy an evening out with friends or talk to colleagues at work. Having confidence can also mean that you are able to acknowledge making mistakes but also being able to distance yourself and still be able to feel alright about it.  Building confidence and developing resilience are also important so that we are not affected by other people's behaviour.

Self esteem is commonly defined as how an individual “estimates” themselves. We all experience low self esteem at some point in our life eg. losing a job, break up of a relationship. But it might be that if you are constantly feeling negative about yourself. This can be feeling bored with life, hopeless depressed and thinking there is nothing exciting to look forward to.

Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for low confidence and low self esteem. In summary, by looking at relaxation techniques we can build confidence and also use techniques like ego strengthening and positive suggestion. We remember peaks of success in a client's life to date when they did feel confident and also how they want to feel in certain situations through hypnosis.  In summary hypnotherapy will look at the root cause of this low self esteem and confidence and then look at using suggestion and other techniques to change thinking, ultimately improving confidence and self esteem to be able to flourish in your life.
